Another reupload from my original account. From an old sketch, I gave this a clean up and a paintjob. I also made it a scene for a fic I'm working on, because once again I can and will.
When Sonic told her that he had gotten faster because of the mutation, he wasn't kidding.
Sally held on for dear life as Sonic weaved back and forth through threads of laser fire, feeling all the part of a ragdoll in a child's hands. The fact that Sonic was laughing at their ordeal wasn't very comforting to Sally; he was enjoying this a little too much.
When Sonic began to run in a straight line Sally dared a peek over his should and saw the building they had just attacked still burning in a bubble of grey and black smoke. Every so often another explosion would burst through, highlighting the smoke with a bright orange. It was a successful mission, and she couldn't help but smile just a little as she imagined the damage held inside.
Then a blur of red would be found at the corner of Sally's eye, reminding her of their prediciment. Two Hover-Units had started chasing them once the alarms sounded. No SWATbots could be sent after them as they were either too busy trying to contain the fire, or being melted inside the fire. Sally knew more Hover-Units would be dispatched soon, so they really needed to move it.
Stuff to point out: I think the graffitti looks neat on the walls. The ground is a bit too textured for my liking, but it works. And I added grime stains here and there. I was going to add rain, but then I decided this had enough going on and rain would just goof it up.
Enjoy. ^^

Across the globe, 27 million men, women, and children live in some form of slavery. That is more people at this moment than in all the centuries of the Atlantic Slave Trade. Something must be done. This contest serves two purposes: Raising awareness about human trafficking and raising funds for the Not For Sale organization.
Open to all mediums. Deadline is March 10, 2010 @ 11:59pm PST.
