Well, at long last, our proud little Club is now a proud little group: boundforfreedom.deviantart.com… .  It will take a couple days to get everything fully set up, but in the meantime, everyone feel free to join up there and send in any deviations and suggestions you want.  Hopefully, this conversion will mean a new surge of activity for BfF. ^_^



Hello, this is , the new Admin of this Club.  

I would first like to apologize to all who are watching or are members of the Club for my long inactivity.  It has proven to be an exceptionally busy time in my life, and I have been unable to honor my duties as the new Admin.

HOWEVER.

That changes right now. I intend to get everything in order over the next few days, then hopefully announce a new contest for everyone to participate in.  Keep your eyes here, folks. ^_^



THIS TIME I MEAN WHAT I SAY. Just as I announce that everything's gonna be back on track I ended up with stupid time-sucking shifts at my job. -_-; But NOW everything has been updated, along with joining requests and submissions that have been backlogged for some time.

I'll also like to announce that Gojira007 has accepted the role as co-owner. So that means this place will actually get updated more frequently. So please give him a great big welcome! We're also negotiating a new contest, so keep an eye out for an announcement soon.



HELLO! HI! Look, this place is alive! D:

Sorry about not updating this place since... shit September. Ohgod... Life has been really busy for me for ages now, due to weird random shifts at work that have me doing both day and night shifts, along with other distractions. Plus for some reason DA just doesn't like working for me half the time. Could be due to the MILLIONS UPON MILLIONS OF SCRIPTS this place runs at one time. Yes the drag and drop feature for favouriting is nice, but at the same time is causes DEATH! 8|

ANYWAY! Been looking through the comments left here and no, this place isn't dead. Like I said, been really busy so I don't have much time to update stuff. At the moment I'm still sorting through the notes and submissions, so I'm hoping over the next couple of days (if nothing stupid happens to eat my time again) I can catch up with these and get them up and running.

But one thing I have been considering is maybe getting someone to pick up my slack here so that this doesn't happen again. D And maybe with someone else doing the thinking it might breath some new life into this club, 'cause honestly I'm really not sure WHAT to do with this club any more. But I don't want to just shut it down and call it quits. Bound For Freedom was the first Son/Sal club on DA, so giving that up will just leave a bad taste in my mouth I think.

It's still something I'm debating though, 'cause really I don't know who to ask about this 'cause I don't know a lot of people on DA. |D So just tossing that idea out there just in case someone reading this decides "Hey, maybe I can do that!". So if you do, please tell me. Note me if you want, either here or at my regular account, I'm not fussed. Just keep in mind I'll still be calling the shots and the like, so it's not a total hand over to you. This is still my baby, but like I said, some freshness here would be super helpful if possible.

Other than that, I will be going through notes and stuff here and updating as soon as I can. I apologise once again for the massive delay in updates and leaving people hanging. But yes, this place isn't dead, just kinda hibernating for now. ♥





I've organised the gallery using DA's new gallery system. I've put in three folders: Fan Art, Fanfics, and Contest Winners. So if anyone wishing to browse for something specific should be able to find it pretty quickly. I'm also hoping that I got the right contest entries in the winner's folder, if not please let me know!

Guys, when entering contests please don't comment on the front page with "Did you get my entry?" a few hours after you've noted the club. I check here every few days, more frequently during contest time, so be patient. If you don't see your entry added to the list within a week chances are something went wrong. Check your outboxes to make sure that you actually sent your entry in.

And also, please stop spamming the front page with "Check out my entry" comments. Everyone watching the club will get an announcement about an update, which includes a link to your entry. If this happens with the next contest I'll take out your entry. No one likes pimpers.

NEW CONTEST!!!

This contest will stay open until Midnight, January 30th.

'Tis the Season once again, and so we here at want to celebrate with out first new contest in some time.  Having already done a general Christmas contest once, this time around we'll be using a slightly different theme: Presents!  Because hey, what Christmas is complete without them, right?  Thus, we want to see images and stories of our favorite couple giving each other gifts; show us what the gift is, show us the two shopping, whatever...so long as it relates to Presents, it's good.

Open to both the writers and the artists of the club.

Keeping to the rules, be sure to use your own images or stories, not copyrighted material such as scans from the comics or screenshots from the cartoon, or someone else's art. Like I said I want this place to be as original as possible.

Winner will win a three month subscription to DA (the winner can choose if they want it or to give it to a friend if they already have a subscription).  The winner will also be allowed to receive a Request work from .

Welcome to Bound For Freedom, a Deviant Art Club dedicated to the coupling of Sonic the Hedgehog and Princess Sally Acorn. Basically, like all clubs here at DA, this club was set up to allow fans of the couple to meet other fans, share their work, and just have fun. So if you're a fan please don't hesitate to join up.  

I've actually noticed a few people adding the club to their watchlist but not joining. Come on people don't be shy, we don't bite that hard really.

Just a note, guys, you can submit work here that isn't for the contests if you like. We could use some submissions just to liven up the place a little. Refer to "What Can I Submit" and "How Do I Submit" guidelines below.

How to join?

Send a NOTE to the club. Be sure to write in the subject line “Join Bound For Freedom” or something like that so that the note will be prioritized. Please DON’T ask to join in the comment box below as that tends to get ignored or forgotten, and notes will make it easier to keep track of members.

Once you’ve become a member it would be great if you can link to the club in your journals or signatures. Just remember the : icon : command doesn’t work in signatures, so use the : dev Bound-For-Freedom : command (without the spaces of course).

Who can join?

Anyone, as long as you’re a fan of the Son/Sal coupling. It doesn’t matter if you prefer the SatAM version or the Archie Comics version, either way you like the couple and I want you to join up.

What this club ISN’T!

This club is not a place for those against any other couplings (i.e Son/Amy, Son/Mina, Son/Shadow for the extremely out there people) to rant and rave about how stupid said couplings are and why this one is the best. Everyone is entitled to their own opinions, and we will not tolerate any anti- comments/submissions against them. If you do say anything overly negative about another coupling you will be black marked, meaning you won’t be considered a member here in the admin’s eyes.

The same goes for any anti-Son/Sal extremists out there waiting to prey on this club. As soon as you make a negative comment you will be reported to the administrators of Deviant Art for harassment. You have been warned.

What Can I Submit?

When a competition is set up you can submit an entry in any form (i.e drawing, poetry, short fiction, a photograph if you can, skin, etc) unless specified. As long as it involves Sonic and Sally. They don’t have to be doing anything romantic (unless once again specified), just shown in a positive nature. BUT you can also submit work just for kicks if you like. Refer to "How Do I Submit?" for submitting instructions. Simple, no?

How Do I Submit Stuff?

When submitting art, please note the club with a URL to your submission. What I'll do is reupload the submission under the club's name, complete with your original description and a link to your gallery. You can upload your submission to a site outside of Deviant Art (i.e Geocities, 50meg.com, etc) just provide a description in your note.

Any Limitations?

Yes. Please try to keep all submissions between G and PG rating. (For any short fics or comics) mild swearing is allowed, just don’t make it every second word. And if swearing can be avoided, do so. I want this place to be safe for all audiences. If your submission does have mature content in it please activate the ‘hide deviations with mature content’ option, or place a big disclaimer at the beginning of your description so people have some warning.

Also, when submitting deviations, please make sure they are your original pieces. By this I mean no scans from the comics, screenshots from the cartoon. If I wanted such things submitted I wouldn’t have bothered making the club in the first place, as I want this place to be as original as possible. And ESPECIALLY not someone else’s artwork or rips. Rips meaning something you’ve traced from the comics or someone else’s art. If you do submit any of these things you will be black marked, and if it is a rip you will be reported to the administrator’s here. I will not tolerate any form of art theft, and will not harbour art thieves.

How About Favouriting?

Found a drawing done by a non-member that you think everyone here will enjoy? Let me know and I'll favourite it. But it has to be something really special, like something that knocks you off your chair upon viewing type of special.
